Managed care

IIn 1995 the government issued a directive that instructed Health Authorities to buy packages of care for patients at home whose treatments included “the delivery of drugs together with other products and equipment needed to administer them”.

Treatments that are provided include parenteral nutrition, desferrioxamine and cancer chemotherapy.  Healthcare at Home has been providing these services to the NHS for several years and provides complete geographical coverage throughout the UK.

Healthcare at Home aims to meet and, wherever possible, exceed the expectations of patients (and their families and clinicians) and as such the company has extremely high standards of service.

The interests of the patient are paramount and every effort is made to meet individual patient requirements.  Healthcare at Home has more experience than any other in the transfer of patients onto a managed care system, and this experience ensures the minimum of disruption to all concerned.

Patient confidentiality is preserved and respected at all times.  Patient files are maintained securely, and any patient information is confirmed to the relevant clinical and customer services personnel only.

Healthcare at Home has an excellent track record in providing services tailored to the requirements of individual NHS trusts and our experience shows that patients enjoy significant quality of life benefits from our services and their compliance with treatment is improved.
