All our Oncology and Haematology nurses hold post registration qualifications in their speciality and are employed at a senior level. All nurses are assessed for clinical competence before practising with the company. Furthermore, these competencies are reviewed on an annual basis via clinical supervision.

The nurses are highly skilled in the insertion and management of venous access devices as well as the administration of a wide spectrum of treatment regimes including vesicant cytotoxic therapies.

Healthcare at Home nurses are professionally accountable for all aspects of the care they provide and are fully covered by our own company indemnity insurance.

The key to a successful home care service is careful patient selection criteria. Home chemotherapy is not appropriate for every patient or family. Each patient has to be individually assessed in terms of their suitability for home treatment, areas for attention may include; drug regime safety, home environment, carer support, desire to continue working, disease status and the patient's own preference regarding where they are treated.
